Kamennoostrovskiy theater is a monument of Russian wooden architecture of the Classical, the only surviving wooden theater in Russia.

Classicist building was created in 1827 by the architect Pasha. Within the walls of the theater Kamennoostrovsky during its history housed Leningrad television studio theater, ballroom dance club. After the reconstruction, which began in 2005 and finally completed in 2012, the building was transferred Bolshoi Drama Theater GA Tolstonogova, now here is the New Stage BDT.
