The play "The Summer Wasps Bite Us Even in November" was directed by Alexander Bargman on the motives of the comedy of the same name by the contemporary Russian playwright Ivan Vyrypaev. This is the second appeal of the Bolshoi Drama Theater to the playwright's work: since May 2015, a performance based on the play "Drunk" by Ivan Vyrypaev has been performed at BDT. Andrei Moguchy in 2016 received for this production the National Theater Award "Golden Mask" in the nomination "The best work of the director", the actor's ensemble "Drunken" was awarded a special prize by the jury of the Golden Mask.
All the characters of the performance "Summer Wasps Bite Us Even in November" are lonely. Innocent - in the beginning - the conversation between Elena, Mark and Josef turns into a strange game that provokes controversy and "frank" confessions, reveals painful points, serves both as a poison and as an antidote. The play "Summer Wasps Bite Us Even in November" was written by Ivan Vyrypaev in 2012, but in St. Petersburg it will be staged for the first time.
