The first legal observation deck on the roof of a residential building, which opened in the historic center of St. Petersburg
In addition to the panoramic view of the city, one of the 180 towers familiar to the Leningraders, in which during the war years the observation points of the local air defense (MPVO) were located, is a remarkable exhibit on the roof. The tower was restored and prepared for display.
The excursion program for visitors consists of two parts. The first tells about what the city roofs were like in the times of Peter I, we recall the decree of Nikolay I from 1844 on the limitation of the height of buildings and in general we say how the skyline of Petersburg was formed.
The second part of the excursion is dedicated to the tower of the Moscow Military District and to the function that such towers performed.
