The premiere of Mozart's opera "Cosi..." was held in Vienna, January 26, 1790 and was accompanied by a roaring success. Mozart created a typical opera buffa: brilliant vocal style, accented by theatrical convention, intricate intrigue, fun scenic vanity with binding and cross-dressing comedy "misrecognition" sudden successful completion of all the turmoil.
In the play, two young officers, changing appearance and dressed in Turkish garb merchant, decided to conduct an experiment. For fun, they began to care for each other ladies. But what this is all over, and they could not have imagined.
Producer-director Götz Fisher guided to recreate a typical style of opera buffa. Brilliant move to dilute the dramatic tension comic interludes, widespread in Europe of the XVII century, and found its application here.
