Ballet "Swan Lake" covers among other very special place. One of its causes in the name of true connoisseurs of this art form anticipation of a miracle. After all, according to art historians, after the famous Bolshoi Theatre in London in 1956, this masterpiece in a short time has become the hallmark of the Russian ballet. According to general director of the Mikhailovsky Theatre Vladimir Kehmana, to the choice of "Swan Lake" ballet version for statement on their stage, they came up with the utmost care. At the end of a heated debate was preferred embodiment Alexander Gorsky - Asaf Messerer.
Mikhail Messerer, chief choreographer of Theatre St. Michael, went to the reconstruction of the sample in 1956 very carefully, trying to protect the formulation from the Gorsky effect of time. Nevertheless, his ballet acquired closer and understandable for the modern sound of the audience. In its work, choreographer restored costumes and decorations in their original form - as good as the established artist Simon Virsaladze for the legendary first demonstration of "Swan Lake".
