Opera «The Barber of Seville»

Opera «The Barber of Seville»

One of the most popular operas in the world, whose sun melodies can be recognized from the first notes, was almost continuously present in the repertoire of the Mikhailovsky Theater since 1918, from the time of the appearance of its own opera company. The director from Switzerland Eric Vigier created an original production that reminds us of the times when the opera was not considered an elite art and appealed to the widest circle of spectators. In spicy and slightly insane Seville - a real southern city, as in a drop, reflects the whole of Spain: in mass scenes busy football players, pop stars, flamenco dancers, guitarists and even ... monkey, donkey and "little blue dog". Opera joke - bright, elegant, not constrained by the canons of the genre - guarantees the public a high degree of good mood.
