Petersburg ensemble Olympic Brass was founded in 2006. Musical traditions of the city organically embodied in the collective style. The ensemble of united musicians representing classical and jazz school. These two areas have formed a unique approach to the execution of musical works. The basis of the music of the band is the music of domestic and foreign movies in the copyright arrangements trumpeter Alexander Golikova. This line includes a variety of genres: classical music, classical jazz and jazz 30s, Latin tunes, slow bossa nova and jazz ballads, modern jazz and classic blues, fiery Balkan composition and klezmer, trendy funk, as well as hits of world music.
Since 2012 the ensemble Olympic Brass organizes annual Russian Festival performers on brass instruments and brass ensembles in St. Petersburg «BRASSFESTIVAL.RU». The main idea of the festival is the presentation of different areas of Brass art. The festival concerts leading performers on brass instruments and brass ensembles, master classes, exhibitions of brass instruments.

In 2015, for the active organization and educational activities Artistic Director of the ensemble Alexei Stepanov awarded diplomas of St. Petersburg Governor. Ensemble Olympic Brass is the official representative of the German company Gewa Music, producer Woodwind Roy Benson.
