Each person is given in life an equal amount of happiness. Only one is spending it right away, and others are stretching for a long time ... Lucy and Barkley have lived together for fifty years, but they have to part because none of the five children agree to take both parents. A play about the touching love of two elderly people standing on the brink of the abyss of loneliness, to which they are ruthlessly confronted by their own children, was written in 1937, but today it has not lost its relevance. Some, after watching the play, will say: "In our family this will never happen," others simply call their parents, but no one will be indifferent.
