The group "Dobranoch" was founded in 1998 in France, where the company of friends-musicians from Petersburg resulted in the desire for travel and new musical impressions. After several years of travel, the band returned to their homeland in order to acquire a new composition and a new sound.
"Dobranoch" offers listeners their view on klezmer, relying on deep knowledge of traditions, rich experience of traveling and communicating with national musicians of different countries. In addition to Jewish music, the group's repertoire also includes Balkan music and Russian songs from the time of the heyday of brass bands.
During its existence, "Dobranoch" visited with tours of more than twenty countries and recorded six albums. The music of the group "Dobranoch" can be heard in television series, feature films and documentaries. The group collaborated with such stars of the klezmer scene as Frank London, Michael Alpert, Merlin Shepherd, David Krakauer, DJ Socalled, Psoy Korolenko and others.
Group "Dobranoch" equally convincingly sounds both at philharmonic stages, and on open areas of large festivals and city holidays. And often the musicians simply descend from the stage after the concert and play in acoustics right among the listeners, as did their predecessors, playing at weddings a hundred years ago.
