Variety Theatre named after Arkady Raikin, together with the famous actor and director Andrei Noskov prepares for staging Slawomir Mrozek "On the high seas." The premiere is scheduled for 27 and 28 September 2016.
Creativity Polish playwright Slawomir Mrozek is very popular in our country, his plays are on the stages of many local theaters. In his works Mrozhek raises acute social problems, and makes it a very unusual way, by placing the characters in a stressful, sometimes completely absurd situation. No wonder that the author called the master of paradox.
The play "In the open sea" - one of the most famous works of Mrozek. In the story of the shipwreck survivors, three men are in the midst of the vast ocean in a lifeboat. Their thirst and hunger. In the end, the heroes decide that the only salvation - is to eat one of those sitting in the boat! It remains only to determine which of them should be the dinner. Starting a fight for survival.
As conceived by Andrei Noskov in the play is not three and seven main characters. Men and women, the strengths and weaknesses, different in character, temperament, social status, they will be literally in the same boat. This is the director's decision will create on the stage model of society in miniature. Each character will have its own story, its own principles of life, their ideas of good and evil, justice and dishonesty. The desire, however, there will be one at all - to stay alive.
