For over a hundred years Tchaikovsky ballet "The Nutcracker" (premiered in 1892) is considered the standard of ballet art, and to this day, every view collects notices. Especially when the artists on stage Tchaikovsky's ballet theater.
The libretto, created by Marius Petipa - chief choreographer of the Imperial Theatres on the fairy tale by ETA Hoffmann, inspired Tchaikovsky to write wonderful music, is now recognized worldwide. Advent story of a little girl Masha (the Russian version) and a wooden nutcracker doll from the kingdom that save this magical world from hordes of mice and their terrible Mouse King, gets a new sound on the ballet stage.
